Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is a 673-bed teaching hospital in the South Ward of Newark, NJ. Our ED sees approximately 90,000 emergency visits per year, and serves a diverse, high acuity population with a multitude of health problems. NBIMC provides comprehensive health care services to our local communities and is a major referral and treatment center for patients throughout the northern New Jersey metropolitan area.
In addition, Newark Beth Israel is the second largest program in the United States for renal and pancreas transplant and within the top ten in the United States for number of heart transplants performed per year.
Specialties covered by our hospital include emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, med/peds, ob/gyn, diagnostics radiology, surgery, and ENT. Fellowships offered include pediatric emergency medicine, hematology/oncology, cardiology, pacemaker, heart failure, nephrology, vascular surgery, pulmonary critical care, sleep medicine, geriatrics, interventional cardiology and infectious disease
